About Me
I want to welcome you to Better Help! I know that reaching out to a therapist can often be overwhelming and difficult so I would like to applaud you for willingness to take that step. I graduated from SUNY Albany with a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. and M.Ed from Columbia University in Psychological Counseling. I am licensed in Virginia (LPC) and Massachusetts (LMHC). I have worked in numerous settings including outpatient mental health and addiction treatment centers, as a contractor for the Department of Children and Families, and Day Treatment Programs. I have experience in both group and individual counseling working with children and adults.
My treatment approach is adaptable depending on the needs of the client. I believe in the importance of client and therapist collaboration in order to determine the best course of action for the therapeutic process. Therapy is not a one size fits all process and the client’s voice is pivotal when discussing action, change, and needs. I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
Sara is excellent at what she does and has always been available and accommodating. Highly recommended.
Insightful, timely, flexible, unfailingly thoughtful, could not have gotten through these past few months without her.
I am so grateful for Sarah. I really feel like she understands me so well and has gotten to know me so personally now. She speaks to me with warmth and I can feel that she really cares, even though I’m paying for her time and help, I don’t feel like that’s what she’s in this profession for. She does this because her heart is the right kind to be able to tune into people’s thoughts and emotions and “get” you. I appreciate my relationship with my therapist. For me, she is the friend I can unravel things with every week and make sense of everything that just.keeps.happening. in my life. I can’t see how I could go back to not taking care of myself with therapy. It doesn’t make your problems go away, but it sure helps you figure out how to handle them and work through the things that have damaged you. I’m very grateful to have been connected with a great fit right away instead of dealing starting new with another therapist and start all over again several times.
Thank you, Sara. I’m very glad to have you in my life <3
Y’all better give this woman a raise because she is the best therapist I’ve ever had for the cheapest price I’ve ever paid.
So far she's been very accommodating and willing to find different ways for me to get the most out of our sessions.
