About me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is an active, goal-oriented treatment approach focused on teaching new ways of thinking and new behaviors in order to decrease symptoms and build the life you want. I have experience working with clients who have generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, skin picking/hair pulling, depression, and insomnia. I also enjoy working students on issues related to test anxiety, procrastination, time management, and productivity.

My therapy style balances understanding and warmth with a proactive, goal directed approach. I strongly believe that the best way to empower my clients is to teach them new skills and then to troubleshoot and practice using them in real life. I use primarily cognitive behavioral interventions because CBT has a very strong scientific research base demonstrating its effectiveness for anxiety and depression. My goal is to arm my clients with the information and practical, hands on skills training they need to make real changes in their life.

I look forward to working with you!
