About me

Hello and thank you for reviewing my counselor profile. I look forward to the possibility of working with you on this part of your life journey. I am originally from South Florida and received my master's degree in Counselor Education from Florida Atlantic University. Since 2016, I've been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and providing clinical services since 2012. Since licensed, I've been developing programs for a non-profit that works with at-risk youth, providing counseling, developmental assets learning and career training. I also have a private practice and work with teens and adults in the community. In my free time, I love to scuba dive, take my dogs to the beach, swim, read, travel, and volunteer my time in conservation efforts.

I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and complex trauma and have experience working with first-responders, and child, adolescent and adult survivors of sexual abuse and assaults. My practice focuses on helping clients recover from their anxieties, unstable moods, post-traumatic stress concerns, dissociation and somatic responses. I also take interest in helping adults struggling with relational codependency and adults recovering from childhood adversity.

I have trained with the Beck Institute, which founded Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). CBT strategies may help clients recognize and change unhelpful thinking and behavioral patterns which then improves symptom stability and level of functioning. I'm certified in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which may help clients process traumatic memories, target faulty beliefs, and come to an adaptive resolution. Recently I have become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and I look forward to helping more trauma survivors learn to thrive.

If you were my client, I would help you become your own therapist on your journey to self-discovery and development. I'd be honored to navigate you through your current life-phase challenges, relationship concerns, and any difficult symptoms related to your emotional health and well-being. I'd help you tap into your internal strengths, resources and support system so that you can move forward and live a quality life. I'll guide you to find relief from your symptoms and increase your resilience during a time of crisis and adverse life situations. You will likely find meaning, identify your core values, and reach your goals within a short period of time in counseling with me.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sarah Paulick. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I am a beginner into the therapy/counseling world and Sarah has done an amazing job making me feeling welcome and heard. It was so important to me that i wold be able to have a safe space to talk about my thoughts and be vulnerable. Sarah has created just that! A space where anything can be talked about. She truly hears what you have to say and gives feedback and even recommendations of new methods or techniques that would help you. I highly recommend her!

I have only had one session with Sarah so far, but I eagerly await the next one. Sarah did a great of job of putting me at ease and creating a comfortable environment to express and assess my concerns.

Sarah has helped me through a lot. She made me feel really at ease which was made it very easy to open up. I feel like no matter what we were talking about she was really on my side and wanted the best for me.

Sarah made me feel completely at ease while I was experiencing severe anxiety attacks. I was in need of a friendly non-judgmental ear and she completely exceeded my expectations. Having been through traditional counseling with other mental health professionals, it always takes a while for me to get comfortable to really become vulnerable and share what's going on with me. I did not feel any sense of judgment or criticism from Sarah. On the contrary, she made me feel like I was not alone and that I was in a safe space. I highly recommend if you have the opportunity to take the time to speak with Sarah as she is an empathetic listener she has helped me out tremendously.

Sarah is an extremely wonderful person who was always there to give me support when I needed it most. She helped me work through my own problems and view things in a new light. I am so thankful that she has been able to help me in my times of struggle and doubt. Sadly I am moving away from Florida and will no longer be able to use her services. I highly recommend her to anyone who may be considering counseling. Thank you!
