About Me

Greetings! My name is Sarah and I am a North Carolina based Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have a passion for helping people reach their goals and gain greater self awareness. I have over eight years of experience working in the mental health field and four years of clinical experience. I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, in home care, and in clinics specializing in sexual assault, interpersonal violence, homelessness, and addictions. I have also had the honor of serving with fellow Soldiers in the US Army as a Behavioral Health Officer. Over the years, I've gained experience in treating a multitude of issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, marital conflicts, workplace and money difficulties, issues with body image, self acceptance, and self-esteem.

My approach is holistic, warm, and collaborative. I believe that you are the expert on your own life and I am here to work with you to tackle your problems head on. I realize that there is still a great deal of stigma around mental health and it is my goal to create a space that is non judgmental and shame free so that you may express your thoughts and feelings freely. Good luck in your journey and I look forward to working with you!

I have been having more than two sessions with Sarah. She listens to me really well, and makes me feel appreciated and supported. She's very calm which makes me feel comfortable to speak to her.

I've only had one session with Sarah and it was lovely speaking to her. I felt anxious before the call but as soon as we got going I felt calm and I could talk about anything. Sarah is very patient when trying to articulate your feelings and I know she a lot of knowledge behind her to support myself and others. Also I receive quick responses to messages and she is very professional. I highly recommend Sarah!

Talking with Sarah was been helpful in many ways to me. I am slowly unravelling things I didn’t even know about me and her advise has been helpful to me.

Sarah makes sure that you’re in a very comfortable space. She’s got a very warm and positive nature, and makes it easy to speak with her. Talking with her is like talking with a friend that has the kind of professional expertise that has. She’s a great listener, passes no judgement, tries to keep things lighthearted where appropriate, and follows up to check in on you. She does her best to educate you on things you may be facing from both a friendly and psychological standpoint, which can help you by see things from different perspectives. Even if you don’t, she doesn’t discredit how you feel but instead is there to walk you through it and find solutions that suit you. I’m glad to be working with her and would recommend anyone to do so.
