Hi there! Reaching out for help takes courage. I am glad you are here! My name is Sean Blade. I am a clinical mental health counselor licensed in Florida and Maryland. I have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University. I have spent much of my career, to this point, working with a highly diverse population, including BIPOC, immigrants, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
My approach to counseling is a combination of Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. However, I never stray far away from the ultimate goal of healing your heart. I believe that the relationship I build with those I work with is the most important factor to growth. I bring with me a unique and unusually wide-ranging array of personal experiences that allow me to connect with others in a warm, non-judgmental, and empathetic way. I am honored when people choose to share their pain with me and allow me to walk with them on their journey.
Additional areas of focus: Stress, Anxiety, Addictions, Relationship issues, Family conflicts, Intimacy-related issues, Anger management, Self esteem, Codependency, Commitment Issues, Family of Origin Issues, Forgiveness, Guilt and Shame, HIV / AIDS, Isolation / Loneliness, Multicultural Concerns, Post-traumatic Stress, Prejudice and Discrimination, Self-Love, Social Anxiety and Phobia
Clinical approaches: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy

Sean Blade is one of the most supportive and compassionate people I've ever met. His ability to listen with care and validate my emotions without judgment is something I've never found in a therapist before Sean. He has helped me work through so many areas of my life that needed my attention and acceptance. His expertise has been so helpful in guiding me to find answers and support for some of the most difficult things have happened and are happening in my life. The tools provided to me by Sean have helped me navigate the whirlwind of emotions I feel on a daily basis. I'm beyond grateful for Sean and cannot recommend him enough to anyone who is struggling and in need of support.
