About me
Are you looking to make meaningful change in your life? Are you wanting to feel more present, authentic and connected to yourself and others? Whether you are struggling with relationship stress and conflict, navigating a life-altering event, or experiencing post-traumatic stress to name just a few, I am here to provide a safe, nonjudgemental space for you to overcome your obstacles and concerns. I know from both personal and professional experiences that each of us has the ability to awaken to our Truth within and find our light, even in the darkest of times. I can help guide you back to return home to your innate mental health and true nature, peace and wellbeing.
I'm a licensed mental health counselor in both the states of Hawaii (LMHC) and Arizona (LPC). I was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I served active duty in the US Navy, then post military became a city firefighter-paramedic in Virginia. I eventually went back home to Arizona to complete my BA in Psychology at Arizona State University. Then eventually moved to Oahu, Hawaii in 2011, where I lived for close to 7 years starting my career in mental health and eventually earning my Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University of Honolulu in 2016. I've worked as an inpatient therapist with adolescent youth, in social work with Veterans Affairs helping homeless veterans find housing, and since have been doing psychotherapy online for the last 6 years. I recently moved up to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and have been enjoying getting acquainted with this beautiful country :).

I started online therapy at a very low and vulnerable place in my life roughly 11 months ago. I was matched with a therapist who was not a good fit for me and luckily I decided to give it another try with another therapist. That was one of my greatest decisions ever. Sean has completely changed my life, my perspective and has allowed me to understand myself, my feelings and my vulnerability. I was very opposed to therapy and now can’t see how I ever lived without it. I am slowly, but surely becoming a new person. When I have set backs, Sean reassures me that it is okay and helps me move forward again. Sean listens, he is empathetic, compassionate and understanding. It really feels like he is a friend who you are catching up with. He makes the sessions comfortable and welcoming. I have never felt judged by Sean and for that I am grateful. Sean is very knowledgeable in his work and I would 100% recommend BH and more specifically, Sean. Thank you for all that you have done for me!

Sean is sincere and kind. He actively listens and ensures that he understood correctly. He always supports me, but balances that with challenging me to be better. He truly has helped me change my life!

Sean has approached me and my concerns with intentional compassion and openness.
He is professional, but also feels like a friend which makes the sessions comfortable and relaxed.
Sean creates a very safe container that allows for the necessary vulnerability and transparency for integral healing of mind and spirit.

Sean really understands my problems and empathizes accordingly, every time. His suggestions are always relevant and he never ceases to help me through whatever it is I have brought with me that week!

Sean is my first counsellor on this platform, and my second overall. And he's been extremely helpful, listening to me, empathising with me and giving me advice on how I can manage my anxiety. I've never felt a such a good week in a while since I got into therapy sessions with him. I'm so grateful I was matched with him for my counsellor. And I highly recommend his expertise that he could really help you if you're struggling with anxiety especially with intrusive thoughts which are debilitating.
