About me

It is not selfish to invest in yourself and I am here to support you on your unique journey towards self discovery and wellbeing.

In this safe space, I embrace the core principles of Person-Centred Therapy founded by Carl Rogers. I respect that you are the expert of your own life and my role as your counsellor is to provide a warm, empathetic and growth producing environment where you can freely explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of criticism or judgement.

As we work together, we will collaborate in setting your counselling goals and determining the direction of our sessions. Regardless of your issues, we will work at your own pace and according to your unique needs.

My private practice offers a confidential and supportive environment free from external pressures or expectations. I deeply respect your privacy and you can trust that anything discussed within our sessions remains confidential unless you are at risk of harm to yourself or others or if I am legally bound to share information.

I have been the person in the other chair and it is my experience of therapy that led me to train to be a counsellor. I am also a recent MSc graduate which allows me to empathise with my student peers.

I am a biracial counsellor from multiple minority groups and my experience of coming from a multi-faith and multi-cultural family gives me a unique perspective in life that allows me to specialise in identity and cultural issues. I also specialise in bereavement, race and sports psychology.

Selena is a wonderful therapist who makes you feel seen, heard, supported and so comfortable. She is extremely easy to talk to, has great ideas and is quick to come up with solutions and new ways to look at things! I have found great strength and value in our sessions and really look forward to our time together each week as a grounding time in my routine. I feel lucky!

Selena has been incredibly professional, compassionate, and supportive throughout our sessions. She is an excellent listener who creates a safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental space where it feels easy to open up and be honest.

What stands out most is her ability to provide practical advice, thoughtful feedback, and meaningful support tailored to my situation. She has a way of making difficult challenges feel less overwhelming by helping me feel understood, supported, and empowered to take positive steps forward.

I’ve been in therapy with Selena for 4 months now, she’s patient, understanding, empathetic, validating, comforting, encouraging, and checks in regularly on non-therapy days to make me feel cared for. I’m extremely grateful for having her as my therapist and my sessions always feel like “home”.

Selena is a very gentle therapist, she listens to everything, asks questions accordingly, guides and helps to understand the source of the problem. Selena is suitable for people who need to have conversation with a person who is more on the gentle side.
I'm glad I matched with Selena and I highly recommend her.
