Sergio Cueto, LMFT
About me
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Virginia. I have over 28 years’ experience in social services settings/mental health as a bi-lingual (Spanish/English) therapist working with a variety of individuals, children, families and couples from different backgrounds presenting issues ranging from domestic violence, substance abuse, and post-traumatic stress Disorder (PTSD) to school and family issues. Primary duties include conducting intake evaluations of children and adolescents, assuming primary responsibility for treatment, provision of individual and family therapy, and parent counseling. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where issues, thoughts, and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I believe that beginning where the client is at in the treatment process is key to a successful and beneficial therapeutic experience. My goal is to build upon what is working in the client's life and collaborate with my clients to address the needs that they feel should be addressed in a way that they feel comfortable with.
I look forward to working with you!
