Shanita has been such a fundamental person in my journey to bettering my mental health. During a time when I felt like I had no one she was the constant support I needed to help crawl out of depression and conquer some of my daily anxieties. She has taught me so much and I have been able to open up about trauma that I never disclosed to anyone, and even some that I did not realize I had hurried deep within myself. I feel comfortable talking to her about everything and I know that she will give me the realest and most helpful response, even if it may be hard to hear. I constantly feel validated and celebrated. She has helped me grow and improve my life on so many levels. I have been to therapy many times in my life but she actually puts in the work to make sure I am feeling heard and valued. I am so appreciative of her and I am forever grateful for all of her hard work with me! She probably feels like she’s just doing her job but she truly has changed my life for the better!

I have been working with Shanita weekly since June 2020. Before that I bounced around a lot as I always felt like the counselors considered themselves more of a sounding board. Shanita has made it a point to help me identify goals and has been active in finding ways for me to achieve them. She has helped me identify what my trigger points are, and what tactics work/don’t work for me. She is extremely supportive while also has given me tough love when I have needed it most. I am very impressed with my own progress and I would highly recommend her!
