Are you tired of the typical run of the mill recovery program? Do you want an alternative to AA/NA directed recovery or are you looking to supplement your AA/NA recovery program? If yes then I am your match!
I am the most open minded therapist you will meet. I know how much strength and courage it takes to reach out for help because I myself was once like you. I know how it feels to reveal your vulnerabilities to a complete stranger; and I am living proof that therapy works.
My name is Shannon Gaiser MA, LPC, CAADC, CDDAP and have been a practicing therapist since 2004. I have 17 years of experience with specialties in addiction and co-occuring disorders. I am in recovery from opiate addiction and can understand the special needs of these clients. I practice using client centered, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. I am open to alternatives to the traditional recovery programs including medication assisted treatment and medical marijuana treatment. I believe everyone's path to a better life is individual.
I have worked 9 years in inpatient/outpatient rehabs and 8 years as a private practice therapist for a suboxone doctor. I have experience with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, bi-polar d/p, sexual abuse issues and trauma. My experiences have also lead me to work with family recovery to help promote healthy boundaries. I am available for texts, video, and voice sessions. I typically will respond to messages within 5 hours, but could be longer on weekends.
It would be my honor to start the journey with you. I will get in the trenches with you and we will find the light together. I look forward to working with you!

Shannon is a wonderful therapist. She offers a non-judgmental listening ear to your issues and helps you work through your issues.
Shannon offers me a completely safe space to talk about whatever I need to talk about. Being able to express the things I have never been able to talk about without being judged has been very freeing - allowing me to be more open with those close to me.
Shannon spent 30 minutes with me in a live text chat and kinda got to the heart of the problem quickly. I'm not fixed but I feel like if I put in the effort, I might get there with her help!
Amazing therapist, she helped even in the very first session. I am so happy to have found her ❤️
I really like Shannon she is easy to relate to and she understands what I'm saying, where I'm coming form, and she let's me know what to expect when I make certain decisions. I feel extremely comfortable with her!!
She is the best!! Enough said.
I was very skeptical at first but Shannon has been so incredible she listens and makes me feel understood and heard, she is very funny and she has really helped me.
Very understanding, listens well, and helps suggest ways to cope with things.
Shannon and I just started working together but she’s good I like her relaxed approach and different perspectives
