About Me

Hello! I am so happy that you are here and looking to move forward with your therapeutic journey. I truly believe that therapy can make a powerful difference in our lives.

I received my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota. I have over eight years of experience working as a counselor, both in an outpatient office setting and in the field as a Mobile Crisis Professional. This experience has created an amazing blend of skills and techniques that really support the process of meeting you where you are, and walking through this journey together. My areas of expertise lie in that of anxiety, trauma, depression, and interpersonal difficulties. I also have a passion for working with individuals to expand their mindset, and support them in the empowerment of creating the life they desire.

My counseling style is based in Person Centered theory, with a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and an Existential and Humanistic approach. I love to coordinate your needs and goals with a plan that supports this and creates a path toward that which you are looking for. I create a warm, interactive, sensitive, and compassionate environment, with you as the focus in creating the change you seek.

It most definitely takes courage and energy to seek support through therapy and I am so glad you are here. I look forward to walking with you through this process and will do all I can to be of service.

Shari really helps me understand my feelings and thoughts when I don’t really know what is going on and all I can do is describe what I am going through. She has a very motherly nature to her that allows for very comforting and fluid conversations about everything going on. Shari is also very judge free and even when you feel hesitant about sharing something she instantly makes you feel comfortable opening up about it.
