About me

In my practice, I focus on walking with clients through some of the most difficult events in their lives. Whether you've considered an experience “traumatic” or not, if it still haunts you or causes you uncomfortable physical responses like a racing heart or nausea, these can be treated with EMDR or Brainspotting.

I, myself, am a trauma survivor, which is why I became a counselor/coach in the first place. I want to help others heal as I have. Utilizing modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) can unlock sensations of safety, clarity and freedom in life.

I am licensed in California and Indiana with 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, finding self esteem, and building confidence. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.

I know how scary and overwhelming the self healing process can seem. I want to encourage you to be compassionate and patient with yourself. Any and all progress is valuable, so please take these next steps with me.

I love Sharon. My very first session with her I felt comfortable and safe to talk to her. She listens intently. She doesn’t push her opinions but at the same time she offers other perspectives. She always checks on me weekly. She also has a vibrant personality, not boring. I like her so much I wish she could be outside-therapy friend.

Very helpful and open minded. I’m not an ideal patient because of my preconceived notions about therapy, but she remains positive and optimistic nonetheless.

I’ve only talked through her via chat so far but she has displayed so much compassion and has been thorough in her questions and getting to know me as a new patient. I’ve had a few therapists so far but she really makes me feel heard, seen, and validated. And offers good advice as well. I hope to continue my treatment with her for a while !
