For me therapy can be intimidating and the thought of speaking with a stranger about your problems just seems unnatural. But it can also be a very rewarding experience if you have the right therapist. That’s hopefully where I come in!
My style is very down-to-earth, easy to engage with and using humor when it is appropriate. My focus is collaborating with the client and meeting the client where they are. I have been trained in various styles of therapy but I believe that the client leads the way and this is your journey. I’m here to support you, to be a listener and to offer suggestions about new skills/ideas and provide insight that will help you reach your goals and make your life a little better.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California and I have been practicing therapy since 2015. My professional background includes experience working as a School Social Worker and at a mental health hospital. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults who come to therapy for anxiety, depression, traumatic life events, and other issues that make it difficult to reach their goals. I am trained in several evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused CBT, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
