I think she's great and she is really kind and she listens really well

Written on Apr 26, 2026 after therapy with Shelley for 1 month on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, grief, intimacy-related issues, parenting issues, self esteem, anger management, coping with life changes, compassion fatigue, and adhd

Shelley has such a deep understanding of how trauma manifests later in life, and her insight/guidance has been profoundly beneficial. She is the first therapist that I feel like actually gets me as a person, so to say that I feel seen is an understatement. My progress in therapy from this point is largely dependent on my willingness to show up for myself in ways that are healing and not destructive. As scary as that seems or as unworthy as I may feel, I feel blessed knowing that I have guidance from someone that I can trust. I'm sure I'm not the only client of hers that feels similarly, I highly recommend!!

Sessions with Shelley are time well spent. Shelley makes it clear that she is on my side, rooting for me, and believes in me. She challenges me without overwhelming or belittling me. We focus on what’s happened in my past week, my behaviors, and how to respond in the future. Very applicable/practical.

Shelley really listens and cares about her clients. She gently guides you while giving you autonomy to make decisions and guide your life. She helped me after a huge family dynamic issue and broken engagement. She makes you feel seen and important even on your hardest days. I would highly recommend her.
