About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in NC and I am l also Licensed in Virginia. I graduated from NC State in 2009 with my Masters in Counseling . I have been working as a Counselor since 2009,but worked in the mental health field since 2002. I have worked in various settings such as on a College campus , at mental health agencies, and at a hospital setting. I am certified as a DOT substance abuse professional and a Certified Sexual offender treatment specialist . I provide individual outpatient therapy, couples therapy and group therapy. I have an eclectic approach for addressing of mental health matters. My theoretical orientation is grounded through use of the Cognitive-Behavioral Model and I also draw on a Solution focused therapeutic approach .

I believe the counseling experience is a journey of self discovery; one that is special, private, and a mutual interaction between the counselor and the client. Trust and genuine understanding is a crucial aspect of this relationship. There are times in each of our lives where we all need help managing our thoughts and behaviors. My goal is to help others "Transform their Minds" in order to change their lives. Hopefully, this journey will help you shift from a place of restlessness or discomfort, to a place of spiritual and mental wellness. Congratulations! This is the first step in getting better.
