About me

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Nevada. I have 20 years of experience helping people with life challenges and relationships. My style is warm, friendly and approachable. I believe the best results in counseling come from a strong counseling relationship where you feel heard and understood and we work on the things that matter most to you.

I'm trained in and use many counseling therapies such as EMDR and Flash EMDR for trauma and PTSD, Trauma Focused Therapy, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Gottman Relationship counseling and others. I have been using EMDR in my practice for over 15 years. EMDR is highly effective in helping children, teens & adults resolve past trauma and abuse. Helping people get past the pain of their past is one of the most rewarding aspects of therapy. We all have places in our past that limit us and trap us into reacting, feeling and behaving in ways that don't help us in the here and now. EMDR helps break free of those limiting feelings and negative beliefs.

While you may have signed up for individual therapy, we can discuss any difficulties you're having in your current relationship or marriage, relationships with parents, children or siblings. I specialize in Gottman Method relationship counseling and can help you find solutions to the relationship issues you're facing, including conflict, abuse, infidelity and sexual addiction. My background and training in family systems assists in resolving issues in the immediate family and extended family. Some of my other specialties include coping skills for stress, anxiety and fear. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families for a variety of personal and relationship issues including grief, depression, anxiety/panic and adjusting to life transitions.
