About me

My journey into counseling began with a simple but powerful belief; that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. I started my path in psychology back in 2003, earning my Bachelor’s degree from UNC Wilmington, and later completed my Master’s in Counseling at Wake Forest University, a nationally recognized CACREP-accredited program.

Before becoming a counselor, I worked in nursing, where I saw firsthand how often emotional pain goes unspoken. That experience deepened my commitment to mental health and inspired me to create a space where healing conversations can begin , one honest, compassionate moment at a time.

In our work together, you’ll find an authentic, judgment-free environment where you can simply be yourself. My approach integrates Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused strategies, and Cognitive Behavioral techniques, but more than any single method, I focus on building genuine connection and trust. Together, we’ll explore your story, uncover patterns that no longer serve you, and develop practical tools to move toward peace, clarity, and growth.

I have over 12 years of experience supporting individuals and couples through grief and loss, trauma recovery, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I’ve had the privilege of working with military families, LGBTQ+ clients, trauma survivors, and those navigating complex emotional or relational experiences.

If you’re looking for a counselor who will walk alongside you with empathy, insight, and respect for your pace, I’d be honored to be part of your journey. Healing isn’t about rushing, it’s about rediscovering your strength, your voice, and your ability to feel whole again.

She’s kind, thoughtful and caring. Actually listens to you when you talk and she made me feel self worth. Never made me feel judged at all. She’s a one of a kind, kinda therapist! Take a chance on her and you’ll be agreeing with everything I just wrote down.
