About Me

Hello and welcome! My name is Sherry Haynes, I have a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology and am fully licensed in the state of Washington as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have 8 years of experience in counseling with an additional 16 years in the human services field working with youth and their families. My training has focused on the treatment of self-esteem/confidence, depression, anxiety, social/relationship issues, and trauma. In today's busy world it's important to take time for yourself, each of our sessions will be person-centered and unique. I use Evidence-Based Practices during our sessions using a combination of, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy (TFCBT) and EMDR. Together we will create and individualize a treatment plan. I understand your unique complexities of family, work and relationship struggles. I can help you navigate these challenges while helping you achieve and become your best possible self.

I look forward to meeting you.

I really enjoy talking with Sherry. She's a great listener, gives helpful advice, and I'm comfortable telling her about what's going on. She's an amazing counselor and I'd greatly recommend her to anyone.

Sherry has been wonderful. I’ve only been working with her for a short time, but she makes me feel heard and supported. I love that she checks in regularly and leaves the door open.

She’s the best, she shows me ways to help my anxiety and I’m happy to have her as a counselor even though I’m having trouble to reply back but she the greatest.

Sherry is very clear in her communication asking incisive questions with clarity but without painful directness. I feel very comfortable sharing with her and confident in her ability to parse out the important bits to focus on. She listens to my preferences and is incredibly supportive

Sherry is a really kind and supportive counselor. She asks questions to help understand the motivations and thought processes behind your actions, and helps you develop a constructive approach to get to the root of your core issues.
