About me

Welcome!
My name is Sherry Lewis and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years of combined unlicensed and licensed experience in the medical and mental health field providing services for young children, adolescents, & adults.

I have worked in the fields of medical social work and community mental health. Some of my experience includes treating issues relating to grief and loss, end of life issues, depression, anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, and stage of life transitions.

My counseling style is warm and empathetic with roots based in trust and respect. I utilize a client centered, strength based, solution focused approach to promote a positive therapeutic climate and build trust. I use an integrative perspective, utilizing cognitive behavioral and psycho-dynamic therapies, tailored to your particular needs and goals of counseling. I believe the goal of therapy is to see your own goals met and therefore I individualize treatment planning to meet your specific needs.

Beginning the counseling journey is a step toward growth and reaching your full potential in life. I look forward to walking with you in this journey!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sherry Lewis. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I've been working with Sherry for about 7 months now. She has helped me to set goals and actually reach them. My life is in an entirely different place than it was 7 months ago. She has given me the confidence to take action in my life, set realistic goals, and help me see how far I've come. Sherry isn't just reactive, she's proactive. She'll send out a wellness insight twice a week, and it's information that really helps me get back on track. When I began therapy months ago, I was drowning, but she's helped me put myself in a place where I can look at my life and take stock of what's working/what's not and make changes. It's great to set realistic practical goals and work towards them.

Sherry has been great with helping me through my grieving process. She listens to me, supports me and gives me ideas on how to cope or support my feelings. She always does a great job of listening to me and helps me feel like my feelings are valid. It has overall been a great experience working with her. I'm glad I was able to find her via BetterHelp.

Sherry is kind, caring, professional, and encouraging. She always responds to me quickly and checks on me if she hasn’t heard from me in a few days. I so appreciate how she tailors our sessions and her advice to me using genuine warmth, concern, and spiritual guidance. She has been my guardian angel for nearly a year and I thank God for bringing her into my life when I needed her the most. She is more than a therapist… she’s a friend. Thank you, Sherry, for all that you do!
