About me

I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist (Msc, CTA with distinction) and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (PG Dip Psych) EMDR practitioner and clinical supervisor

I work both long term and short term with individuals and couples.
People approach therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes it is just to get clear about a past experience or to change a habit. Often I have found that identifying blocks and emotional obstacles that stand in the way of a client living their full potential becomes the core of our work.
I offer a variety of techniques which can assist in removing the emotional and psychological obstacles in order to reach my clients' goals.

Autonomy stands as my overarching vision for each client's approach to their life. Your vision is unique and I support you in the aims you want to achieve so you can live your life your way and beyond limitation.

I offer an impartial ear and a collaborative space for you to find the clarity or resolve you may be seeking. I believe the answers we seek are within us. We just need to know how to connect with our truth no longer bound to pre-programming from past experiences.

The process of talking therapy and self understanding can be empowering.

Other clinical posts previously held include:
- Clinical Operations Manager for a London based counselling organisation that provides in-the-moment counselling, managerial advice, clinical assessment,
and trauma support to
company employees globally.
- Counsellor to students at a
London based university
- Clinical assessor for counselling and psychotherapy organisation
- lecturer at London based psychotherapist university

I am a published author, educational culture and arts based book for Rosen Publishing NYC. The book is distributed to libraries and schools across the USA.
I have lectured and mentored at universities in London and Overseas.

Currently I am completing my next book which will be published in the spring of 2024.
The book theme is self awareness and self empowerment which I have been researching for over 20 years.

I have lived and worked in the UK and North America and travelled extensively - and understand the complexity of relocation and cultural diversity.
My previous career, following graduating from Central St Martins College of Art & Design in the 90's with a fashion and promotion degree, was in the design and media industries; working for corporations and publications worldwide.

I have been practicing mindfulness, meditation, awareness and equanimity techniques for 25+ years. I have learnt from a broad range of teachers worldwide.

I am fully insured.
I abide by the ethical framework of
the BACP, UKCP, EATA

I hold a Masters in Science in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (Distinction) awarded by Middlesex University and Metanoia Institute, and a Post Grad Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Metanoia).

As someone who hates therapy it’s strange because I’m actually excited to have my weekly calls. Not only is she incredible at recognising what I need but she is a friend. She listens and gives me constructive feedback that has really helped me progress.

I have been working with Sherry for a few weeks now and have had a great experience so far. She truly listens and makes you feel heard. She does not impose anything on the client, but rather acts as a wise guide who enables clients to get to know themselves on a deeper level.
I would definitely recommend Sherry.
