About me

I’m Shirria McCullough, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I had my first child at 17, and as a teenage mother it was the support, understanding, and empathy of my mother and grandmother that got me to where I am today. As an adult, I recognize how crucial support, understanding, and empathy can be during times of uncertainty, sadness, overwhelm, and disappointment.

Understanding, empathy, and support are the characteristics I stand on and the foundations of my practice with others. I am committed to helping young adults and adults overcome mental health challenges that limit your quality of life. I believe in taking a collaborative approach while helping clients overcome challenges, reach goals, and enhance life!

I am passionate about creating a therapeutic alliance that builds trust and inspires change for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, financial related stress, anxiety, or depression as well as work-related stress, or life adjustments.

Very friendly and responds to humor well and doesn’t seem judge mental or too serious but offers very helpful words to encourage my growth

Her open-mindedness is her strength and has really helped me understand my thoughts and how to navigate some of my life experiences. It’s hard finding a therapist suited for one’s self, but I’m thankful she was assigned to me. I look forward to our sessions because Shirria asks questions that are thought provoking and helpful. I’m learning a lot through Shirria.
