I am an LPC-S, trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with wide range of experience. I have many years of experience working with those with mental health issues such as depression, bi-polar disorder, anxiety, and ADHD. I will help you to understand your diagnosis and how to build coping skills. I also work with individuals experiencing relationship problems, struggling to reach goals, or seeking behavioral changes.

I will help you understand the relationship of your thoughts, actions, and feelings. We will work to find what changes you want to make and how to best make that happen.

I enjoy working with diverse populations and have a non-judgmental approach. It is important to me that you feel safe and free to express yourself.

I love Shonda! She always makes me feel like I'm talking to a friend. instead of being judged by a therapist. Talking to her is very comfortable and casual. She's very intuitive and would often point out new things for me to consider that was insightful.

Shonda is literally my first positive experience with counseling. I’ve tried seeing others before, but I’ve always found myself not committing to sessions. My previous experiences with counselors have felt very sterile and methodical. With Shonda, she creates a really safe environment, is clear and kind about things that are tough to hear from others (which I super need), and relates to me as a human. I’ve only had a few sessions with her thus far, but I’m looking forward to all the potential rabbit holes we’ll be diving into that I’ve been wanting to talk with someone about for so long.
