About me

Welcome
Hi, I’m Simon, a 39-year-old, Scottish, fully registered counsellor with the BACP, and I’m here to offer a space where you can feel accepted, understood, and supported, whatever challenges you may be facing.

About Me
I’ve worked with adults navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, life changes, and relationship difficulties. I know reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and I’m committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace.

My practice is grounded in a relational, person-centred approach, rooted in empathy, acceptance, and respect, and informed by humanistic theory and research. I believe in working alongside you, supporting you to make sense of your experiences while helping you empower yourself by connecting with your strengths and values.

I also draw on structured dialogue techniques and creative approaches when helpful, ensuring our sessions remain collaborative and led by your needs.

What You Can Expect
You can expect warmth, authenticity, and professionalism in our sessions together. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply wish to understand yourself better, my aim is to support you in gaining clarity, easing distress, and moving towards what feels important to you.

If you are looking for a counsellor who will meet you with authenticity, compassion, and honesty, I would be honoured to support you on your journey.

Having had mixed experiences of therapy/counselling previously, Simon took my concerns and issues and have been extremely attentive to them, whilst also challenging my own self-perceptions in order to approach things differently.

Simon has been empathetic to any previous experiences I've had, whilst also being prompt to be more forward looking in approaching my own personal challenges. He has been more than accommodating to adapt his way of working to mine.

Overall, I'd highly recommend Simon to for those who face the challenges of depression and mental health.

Simon is an amazing therapist. I always left our sessions lighter and with such clarity. He's non-judgmental and empathetic. I really appreciate all he has done for me, during a very low time in my life.
