I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York with 8 years of experience. I received my Master's of Social Work in 2015 from the University at Buffalo. Early in my career, I gained rigorous clinical experience in an institutional setting treating incarcerated patients presenting with a wide range of mental health diagnoses. I found this experience to be invaluable in developing my clinical skill set. In 2019, I transitioned into private practice where I have the privilege of working with a variety of patients every day.
I have experience treating patients with diagnoses that range from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, and trauma. Perhaps the most common problem bringing patient's to therapy is their difficulty adjusting to life's challenges. Those challenges can include day to day stress, changes, interpersonal difficulties, and loss. One doesn't need a formal mental health diagnosis to recognize that they are struggling and need support.
I tend to approach treatment from a strength's based perspective. From the moment we meet, I will be rooting for you! I hold a core belief that people are extremely resilient and possess many strengths to help them through life's challenges. I offer patient centered therapy with a humanistic approach. I will always believe you are the expert of your own life and take your lead when it comes to your goals in treatment.
