My name is Stefan Bain and I am a Clinical Therapist (MSW, LCSW, MPH, CST/Certified Sex Therapist) with over 30 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. Educated at UC Berkeley and Stanford University, I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting stressors, addiction and recovery, career challenges, trauma, sex and sexuality concerns, aging-related issues, and LGBTQ-related issues.
My therapy style is warm and interactive and my therapeutic approaches are based on best-practice and are evidence-based. I am not a religion-based therapist. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. One of the main goals of therapy is to provide you with the tools you will need to be successful long after treatment ends; therapy is just one step in your total wellness; the goal is to be whole; however you define it.

Although, it is early in our client-therapist relationship, I am very pleased with Stefan's approach. He is well educated and has wide variety of experiences. I am new to any kind of therapy, so I'm really enjoying the support I never realized I needed.
