About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW) and have worked in multiple settings, advocating, coaching and providing guidance for individuals with concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, isolation/loneliness, grief, loss, bereavement, end of life / hospice, compassion fatigue, forgiveness, self care, self esteem, life purpose and coping with life changes. I have worked with individuals at different stages of Cancer survivorship and end of life.
I strive to make the therapy experience genuine, positive, respectful and safe. My communication style is warm, kind and engaging. I do not believe in using stigmatizing labels. Although I am not an expert in LBGTQ+ issues/experience yet, I am educated and my practice approach is LBGTQ+ affirming, respectfully.
My therapeutic approach is solution focused, client centered and strength based drawing heavily from cognitive behavioral and humanistic therapies. I believe human beings have the amazing capacity to self heal, inspire, empower, learn from others but most vastly learn from our own struggles, challenges and triumphs. Therapy is a process that can help you discover the lesson or silver lining your problem has presented to you. Therapy can also help you discover new and better ways of thinking and coping with challenges you face.
Each of us has unique gifts that if discovered and embraced can help guide us to a more peaceful, joyful and fulfilling life. I applaud you in reaching out and taking the first steps toward seeking a happier life.

Stephanie has been essential in my healing journey after losing my father to cancer in a span of three months

I have only had two meetings with Stephanie as of June 25th 2024, but she has already helped me so much. She listens while I express my thoughts and gives me advice that I haven’t really thought of that really helped me out. I can’t speak for other people but I would definitely recommend her to others if they were/are seeking therapy under BetterHelp. She is beyond sweet and considerate and I am very grateful to have her as my therapist.

Really like working with Stephanie. Very kind and supportive, but also pushes appropriately in a way that really helps.

Stephanie is the first therapist I've had that actively helps me understand my emotions, she doesn't focus on just one tid bit of information. It seems like she would rather dig deep and find the root cause rather than slapping a bandaid on it and calling it fixed. She has helped me start gaining a sense of self in some of my darkest times.
