About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW) and have worked in multiple settings, advocating, coaching and providing guidance for individuals with concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, isolation/loneliness, grief, loss, bereavement, end of life / hospice, compassion fatigue, forgiveness, self care, self esteem, life purpose and coping with life changes. I have worked with individuals at different stages of Cancer survivorship and end of life.
I strive to make the therapy experience genuine, positive, respectful and safe. My communication style is warm, kind and engaging. I do not believe in using stigmatizing labels. Although I am not an expert in LBGTQ+ issues/experience yet, I am educated and my practice approach is LBGTQ+ affirming, respectfully.
My therapeutic approach is solution focused, client centered and strength based drawing heavily from cognitive behavioral and humanistic therapies. I believe human beings have the amazing capacity to self heal, inspire, empower, learn from others but most vastly learn from our own struggles, challenges and triumphs. Therapy is a process that can help you discover the lesson or silver lining your problem has presented to you. Therapy can also help you discover new and better ways of thinking and coping with challenges you face.
Each of us has unique gifts that if discovered and embraced can help guide us to a more peaceful, joyful and fulfilling life. I applaud you in reaching out and taking the first steps toward seeking a happier life.

I"ve only met with Stephanie twice so far, but she is friendly, experienced, knowledgeable, and relatable - which is helpful for me personally. Love that she checks in over messaging and assigns worksheets for me as well.

I started working with Stephanie about 4 months ago — my mom was in my home under hospice care and has since passed. Stephanie has been so helpful in getting me through the tough times of the transition, managing family challenges and frustrations, and pre-mourning the situation. I'm so grateful for her caring insight, guidance, and support.
