About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ( LCSW) and have worked in multiple settings, advocating, coaching and providing guidance for individuals with concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, isolation/loneliness, grief, loss, bereavement, end of life / hospice, compassion fatigue, forgiveness, self care, self esteem, life purpose and coping with life changes. I have worked with individuals at different stages of Cancer survivorship and end of life.
I strive to make the therapy experience genuine, positive, respectful and safe. My communication style is warm, kind and engaging. I do not believe in using stigmatizing labels. Although I am not an expert in LBGTQ+ issues/experience yet, I am educated and my practice approach is LBGTQ+ affirming, respectfully.
My therapeutic approach is solution focused, client centered and strength based drawing heavily from cognitive behavioral and humanistic therapies. I believe human beings have the amazing capacity to self heal, inspire, empower, learn from others but most vastly learn from our own struggles, challenges and triumphs. Therapy is a process that can help you discover the lesson or silver lining your problem has presented to you. Therapy can also help you discover new and better ways of thinking and coping with challenges you face.
Each of us has unique gifts that if discovered and embraced can help guide us to a more peaceful, joyful and fulfilling life. I applaud you in reaching out and taking the first steps toward seeking a happier life.

Stephanie has been my therapist since July 2023, soon after the passing of my beloved husband. She has helped me through the grieving times - still ongoing - and other challenges I have had due to my own health problems. She is a great listener and offers good advice. She also responds to my near daily messages in the "therapy" page. I would recommend Stephanie to anyone grieving the death of a loved one or experiencing other, serious life challenges.

I’ve only had one session with Stephanie. But it was really really good. It felt like the great start to my journey in therapy

Stephanie was pleasurable to work with. Although I started several of our sessions saying I didn’t have much to talk about, we’d end up talking the full duration of our sessions. Stephanie is easy to talk to and helped me find ways to work through the issues I brought up to her in our sessions. It was a great first experience with a Therapist.
