My name is Stephanie and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), in the state of IL. I reside in Los Angeles, but originally from Chicago. I have been a professional counselor for twelve years and I can truly say this profession has chosen me! Working in the community setting and on this platform has provided me with a diverse skillset and expertise and countless meaningful therapeutic relationships :) My areas of specialty are navigating through life changes/transitions, relationship difficulties and transitions, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and identity exploration.
My therapeutic style is led with compassion, understanding, and empathy. My approach is both art and science, I am both fluid and structured. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for the depth of personal healing and growth that occurs in the therapy process. It is not my job to fix or save you, however it is my job to be authentic and hold safe space for you to be authentic. I am open to exploring the past, however I primarily aim to work in the here and now. Increased self-awareness, self-love, and greater agency over your own life are therapeutic goals I always have in mind when working with individuals.
The most important relationship you will ever encounter is the one you have with yourself, this sets the foundation for how you relate to others and to life itself. I am privileged to meet you and look forward to being on this journey with you! :)
Additional areas of focus: LGBT, Family conflicts, Trauma and abuse, Grief, Intimacy-related issues, Eating disorders, Parenting issues, Anger management, Career difficulties, Compassion fatigue, ADHD
Clinical approaches: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Hypnotherapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy

Stephanie is the best therapist ever she works on working towards a healthy future. Listens and has great input and is so knowledgeable with talk therapy. I was going through a super hard time and the way she listens and gives feedback that’s constructive is so great! She deserves great things she’s a blessing!!!

I have done this review a few times now so I will try to keep it succinct. I have seen huge growth on my goals that I had set for therapy at the start and many others that I decided on as time passed. I felt the progress 3 months in, 6 and 9.
And in every session I feel I have someone on my corner. Someone more than willing to adjust to my needs, capable in every way that is needed to guide me all the way. If I had to resume it I would say: I feel guided and supported at all times. Stephanie also believes that therapy is not intended to be constant, there are times you might need it and it's there for you but the idea is for you to be able to manage your emotions on your own. it's really good to feel that the person who is helping you want you to be independent but at the same time is fully present and commited to give it all to make sure you get there.

Stephanie is an excellent therapist. She’s an incredible listener, asks very thoughtful questions and gives really good insight into topics and stories that I’ve shared. I can tell she is really taking everything in that I share and I feel very comfortable and respected by her. I’m very glad to have found her and genuinely look forward to every session I have with her! 15/10 I can’t say enough amazing things about her
