About me

My name is Steve and I would love to meet you. I am a BACP-accredited Counsellor with over 15 years' experience of helping people in the UK, USA, Europe and Asia, who are trying to balance the stresses of work alongside challenges at home.

Do you work in a pressurised job? Do you find yourself getting overwhelmed, balancing your responsibilities inside and outside of work? If so, you have come to the right place.

I have experience in helping people cope with stress, anxiety, addictions, family conflicts and career difficulties. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.

Alongside being a qualified Counsellor, I spent over 17 years in the busy business world of Recruitment, progressing to Managing Director of a successful staffing agency. As such, I understand what it is like to manage relentless pressure at work.

I am based in the UK and provide online counselling and mentoring, either inside or outside of your working hours, helping individuals across the UK, US and Europe.

I have a kind, understanding and down-to-earth approach and love helping people who are trying their best to keep on top of things and live a fulfilling life.

Qualifications:

* First-Class Degree in Psychology from Oxford University
* Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling
* Full BACP member (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy)
* 15+ years’ experience in Counselling, Mentoring and Coaching
* 17+ years’ Recruitment experience (perm and contract)
* Certificates in Solution-Focused & Time-Limited Therapy
* Experience of volunteering as a Samaritan

So often, we can end up in patterns of behaviour without realising, repeating the same cycles of negative thinking. My training in Psychodynamic Counselling has given me tools to help you make links between your past and your present, enabling you to make confident decisions and move your life forward with purpose. I look forward to meeting you!

Considerate to my thoughts and feelings, creating a safe space for me to share uncomfortable feelings and thoughts. Questions allow me to express my thoughts and delve into things in a healthy manner.

This is the first time I’ve exposed myself to the world of therapy and Steve is very helpful. He seems to pickup on some things I say and helps me explore them more deeply. I’m excited to keep moving forward and understanding myself with him.
