About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working out of Utah been a Social Worker for nearly 22 years and the last 15 years I have been working in Hospice. I received my Master's Degree from Arizona State University receiving a minor in Children and Family. I have provided therapy to many different ages and groups of people, besides working in Hospice the last two years I have been working part time in Mental Health Hospital as a Therapist. I find with therapy it is important to meet the person where they are at then work a therapeutic approach that best meets them where they are at. In the work I have done the past years I have blended my therapeutic approach using CBD with solution based, client center, grief therapy, and a little reality therapy.

I am a very compassionate personable but direct therapist, learning in my career most people need to hear the truth and reality of their lives. I will provide a safe open environment free from judgment giving an opportunity to for you to share your thoughts and feelings to help progress through therapy and life.

Therapy should be supportive, fun and effective. Change can be scary but it is less scary when you are working with someone who believes in you and can support you in a healthy, creative and cohesive way. I look forward to meeting you and joining you on this journey.

Great therapist. Made me feel like I always had someone fighting in my corner with me against all the bs, through pre session follow ups, exercises and goals. It really helped.

Steven is really great. I think what "matched" me to him initially was that he practices reality therapy, and I appreciate aspect that very much. It's really helpful to get those reality checks, because I have some traumatic thinking errors and deeeeeep core beliefs that are really unhelpful to me, and he catches when those are reappearing in my self-talk. He is very supportive!
