Sue Herring, LMHC, LPC
About me
I am licensed in Florida and South Carolina with 27 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, and with illness, grief, and loss. I also have experience working with coping with life changes, dealing with anger, and understanding the true nature of forgiveness. I believe that you are the expert of your story, and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming challenges. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps toward change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
I originally studied in the Fine Arts prior to going into business in the restaurant industry. Seeking a more meaningful career, I returned to college in my forties. I received a BA in Psychology from Florida State University and an MA in Counseling Psychology from Troy University. I am well-trained in numerous modalities including but not limited to CBT, EFT with Matrix Reimprinting, Rapid Resolution Therapy, NET, and Neurofeedback. I do not believe in cookie-cutter therapy, as I prefer to accept and respect the varying needs of each individual.

Sue has been such a calm and grounded voice in a time of extreme volatility for me. Every session I walk away from with new perspective and realizations, about the situation I am in and about myself. I can't say enough good things about Sue. It is not hard to feel how much she cares for her clients and wants the best for them. She is awesome!

Sue Herring is truly gifted by God for this very important work. She is professional and compassionate, knowledgeable and empathetic. She is great at listening to my heart, not just my words... and then giving me very helpful feedback and ideas to think about. She has provided me with additional resources, as well. Sue has been my main source of support during one of the most difficult times in my life, and I thank God for her heart to serve in this way. Talking and messaging with her, has kept me moving forward... towards recovery from my trauma and ultimately towards healing.

Sue Herring is a great listener it is portrayed in her response. She's patient and fun to talk to. She is a wealth of resources and information. I really looked forward to our time together. Although we’ve only had one video session, I feel very comfortable and confident in her knowledge and expertise. I really appreciate the wide variety of tools she has to offer. I’m a strong believer in the mind body spirit connection and she has shown she shares the same views. If you’re willing to try what some may call unconventional tools, such as EFT (tapping), I really recommend her.
