About me

I am licensed in Florida and South Carolina with 27 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, and with illness, grief, and loss. I also have experience working with coping with life changes, dealing with anger, and understanding the true nature of forgiveness. I believe that you are the expert of your story, and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming challenges. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps toward change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
I originally studied in the Fine Arts prior to going into business in the restaurant industry. Seeking a more meaningful career, I returned to college in my forties. I received a BA in Psychology from Florida State University and an MA in Counseling Psychology from Troy University. I am well-trained in numerous modalities including but not limited to CBT, EFT with Matrix Reimprinting, Rapid Resolution Therapy, NET, and Neurofeedback. I do not believe in cookie-cutter therapy, as I prefer to accept and respect the varying needs of each individual.

What can I say about Sue… she’s wise, she’s insightful, experienced. She listens and listens well. I always go into our sessions with a notepad because she’s got so many good nuggets that I can apply and practice. I always finish the sessions with practical tools that I can take and apply to my situation. She’s the absolute best!

Sue listens to me and doesn’t make me feel judged in the process. You can tell that she’s very dedicated to helping me and talking me through all of the issues I’m having even outside of our scheduled session time.
