Though I have 28 years of experience working in various mental health areas, my current focus is on trauma, as well as grief and loss issues especially those related to infant loss, miscarriage and fertility challenges. I have both personal and professional experience with these issues. My training is the area of Art Therapy and I use a midfullness approach. Processing issues visually, through the use of art materials is both enjoyable and allows for a short-cut to our emotion centers.
Outside of work I enjoy being in nature with my family, hiking, boating, camping, and paddleboarding. I practice yoga and enjoy playing volleyball.
Additional areas of focus: Family conflicts, Intimacy-related issues, Parenting issues, Anger management, Self esteem, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder, Coping with life changes, Compassion fatigue, Adoption and Foster Care, Coping with Natural or Human-Caused Disaster, Fertility Issues, First Responder Issues, Guilt and Shame, Life Purpose, Postpartum Depression, Post-traumatic Stress, Pregnancy and Childbirth, Self-Love, Women's Issues
Clinical approaches: Client-Centered Therapy, Jungian Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy
