I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas for over 13 years. I received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. Later, I attended Mclennan Community college to expand my counseling knowledge in addiction. I have received CBT certification and am updating this certification (in progress). I have received and continued education in DBT. My passion is to continue to take educational opportunities well beyond my licensing requirements. Currently, I am working on additional certification in CBT, Trauma, and Faith Based therapy.
My primary experience has been with adolescents, adults, and families in a multitude of environments, including faith based. Most of my experience has been in couples therapy, individual adult and adolescent, overcoming trauma, depression, anxiety, stress management, chronic pain, grief, life balance, parenting skills, anger management, productive communication, and life transitions.
My goal is to provide a non-confrontational, safe, and supportive therapeutic environment. I believe in the power of a compassionate therapeutic relationship to bring about positive change. My approach utilizes person-centered, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and dialectical-behavior therapy (DBT). I tailor my methods based on your personality and preferences to meet your individual and specific goals.
It takes courage to take the first step in seeking assistance to meet your goals to lead a fulfilling life and find your joy. If you are ready, I am available to walk this journey with you.

Susan is great and very insightful! Love working with her!!
Very very understanding and willing to give her time to help me, and go over the allotted time if needed, and that’s something I really
I’ve received counseling from Sue over the last several months and she has helped me tremendously. She listens and offers non-judge-mental points of perspective that has helped me look beyond my own pain. She is great at giving me tools that I can apply and use daily or as situations arise. These have allowed me to deal with my recent marital issues with greater ease. I feel like she understands me and has been the guide I’ve needed for self-healing. Thankful for her!
I like Susan she is very helpful with what I’m going through
Susan is very respectful and allows you to express your feelings and gives great exercises to complete to help. She is unbiased and nonjudgmental, and is a counselor who goes the extra mile for her patients.
Susan is a compassionate and kind person. You can tell her anything without judgement. She listens intently, no interruptions, and gives neutral feedback in a way that can help anxious and depressed people view their own emotions with neutrality.
Sue is wonderful. Very open minded, and great at listening! Highly recommend Sue!
Susan has been helping me ever since I lost my job last year. She doesn’t simply just give you a pat on the back she’s also been providing solutions to your problems

Great therapist! She’s the best one I’ve had.
Sue has helped me so much during our sessions together. I’m extremely thankful I got matched with her. She remembers all of the small details like friends names, family members names, etc. I feel very comfortable talking with her because she’s so easy going and non judgmental, always. She’s taught me great ways to cope, exercises for anxiety and depression, ways to turn negatives into positives, etc. I’d most definitely recommend her to anyone. She really is the best!
She’s great! Responsive and encouraging.
