About me

Suzanne Orlando is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified School Social Worker in the state of New Jersey. She earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from New York University in 2004 and has been providing psychotherapy in private practice since 2008. Suzanne has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and is highly experienced working with LGBTQI community, specifically with clients who identify as transgender. Suzanne also is highly experienced in working high risk clients with histories of depression, self-injury and suicidality. Suzanne is well versed in treating anxiety related difficulties. She is also known as the "anxiety alchemist" as she utilizes a solution focused approach to meet her clients where they are, to discover real strategies, that will enable clients to take back control over their panic and debilitating anxieties.

Suzanne's treatment approach utilizes solution focused and a strength based perspective in order to create healthier communication, boundaries and relationships and real strategies that work. Through her work in private practice over the last decade, Suzanne knows that choosing to seek therapeutic help can feel really difficult, her philosophy is to meet you where you are. Suzanne views the therapeutic relationship as a partnership, driven to build a solid foundation in order to work towards what feels best for her clients.

Suzanne is so nice. I feel so comfortable talking to her in our sessions. She has given me very helpful advice and suggestions. Her availability works out great with my schedule.
