About me

We live in a society that is increasingly busy, at times stressful and anxiety inducing. Whilst we are no longer being chased by a sabre tooth tiger, our brains often think that we are and so behave as such.
One of the many reasons I became a therapist and one of my greatest passions is working with clients managing anxiety and low mood symptoms. In addition, finding ways to take care of yourself, increase self-esteem and personal resilience enabling you to live your best life and the best version of you. I am able to offer face to face therapy, outdoor therapy and also via Zoom or telephone.
I have a background in Nursing. I worked for several years in Oncology, caring for patients and their families coming to terms with a cancer diagnosis and managing loss and grief. My theoretical Psychotherapeutic training is Integrative and Transactional Analysis. I find using different models of therapy offers options that best fit the needs of the client.
Our first session together aims to provide you with a warm welcome into the therapy space that we will share together. Initial introductions are an opportunity for you to begin to experience the essence of the therapeutic relationship and how therapy can help you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a safe and supported environment.

I am an Accredited Practitioner in the UK with the UKCP and NCS with over 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with grief and loss, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I also have experience working with coping with life changes. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Suzanne (Suzy) Bunton. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Suzy is kind and patient and really takes the time to listen and understand what you might be going through. I appreciate the safe space she creates in her sessions. She doesn't lecture or throw too much information at you at once. She lets you process and, by asking questions, discover the answers on your own at your own pace. I would definitely recommend Suzy!
