My name is Sydney Johnston, MS, NCC, LPCC and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California as well as a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC). I have a Master of Science in Counseling degree from Oregon State University and over 10 years of experience working with clients particularly with issues of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, domestic abuse, OCD and career planning. I am a strengths-based counselor and work to help clients find value in themselves and to develop their strengths. Based on the needs of my individual client I may use a combination of person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and draw from the theory and practice of positive psychology. My goal for the client is to have a safe and successful therapeutic experience where they find meaning in their life and can move forward with confidence.
