Qualifications: I earned a master’s in science degree in Social Administration, Major Field: Social Work January 2019. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker -Therapist (SW 18465) with the Department of Health Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
Counseling Relationship: I see counseling as a process in which you the client, and I, the Counselor Intern having come to understand and trust one another, work as a team to explore and define present problem situations, develop future goals for an improved life, and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing those goals.
Areas of Expertise: I focus on clients who have experienced relational trauma, childhood sexual abuse, challenges in the area of toxic and dysfunctional relationship patterns, childhood, adolescent and adult anxiety, depression and PTSD. I have had worked with individuals, youth, women and families in crises, individuals affected by homelessness, individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, youth and families affected by foster care, and individuals within the LGBTQ communities. I specialize in couples and marital counseling, human sexuality counseling with youth, adolescence and adults affected by depression, anxiety, trauma and other disorders related physical and sexual abuse.
In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida, I am an ordained Pastor and have 25 years of pastoral experience and 20 years of Christian Counseling. In 2015 I received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies which combines my Social Services and Christian Counseling education. I also have years of experience with youth and possess a Minor in Special Education with a concentration in autism. I own and operate a Private School, Legacy Elite Christian Preparatory School which is geared toward providing an inclusive education for all youths, from all academic levels. We use a positive social interpersonal approach as well as Christian Education which has been proven to greatly reduce emotional and behavioral challenges in at risk youth. I also own a private group practice; SoulPath Counseling and Therapeutic Services, LLC where I enjoy assisting youth individuals, couples and families with emotional, behavioral and spiritual healing.

In summary, There is no one size fits all anecdote to mental and behavioral health. Every client has unique needs that must be treated as such. I strive to find therapeutic solutions that will meet each client's needs. Using a holistic approach, I partner with each client to discover solutions, strategies and answers that heal the mind, will and emotions.

I have had a great experience with Tami as my therapist. She is easy to talk to, created a safe place for me to open up, and provided me a very helpful set of tools with which I was able to use to help me use to regulate my mood.
