LPC #6928-125 (Expires: 2023-02-28)
Tammy has helped me with setting appropriate boundaries in both my work and personal life. Since working with Tammy I have noticed a positive and meaningful difference in my ability to handle both stressful situations and minor inconveniences.
After four months of working with Tammy, my ability to manage my mental health has improved even more than I initially realised.
Tammy's kind and encouraging manner made our sessions comfortable from the start, and made difficult topics easier to address. Tammy's positive approach is supported by science-backed techniques to manage your mental health, explained so clearly that you would think they were common sense rather than CBT. This is where the magic happens - my mindset improved with me barely even realising, and I have practised and internalised techniques that will benefit me for life.
Tammy truly cares about the wellbeing of her clients, evident from her asking about events I would mention, all the way to supporting me in transitioning out of counselling. I would highly recommend Tammy, especially to those who may be feeling hesitant about seeking help.
Talking to Tammy is like talking to a friend! I feel comfortable no matter the topic. She listens and offers immediate solutions to try if necessary. It is really nice to know I have someone I can reach out to that I trust and who will provide honest neutral feedback.
I have only had two sessions with Tammy, but after just a few minutes during the first session, I knew she was the perfect counselor for me. She is kind, patient and somehow seems to have a sixth sense for what is going on with me. I have tried many different counselors, but never felt such at ease as I do with her. The Better Help platform is also excellent. With the virtual aspect, the ability to message (and Tammy responds very quickly!) and also the sharing of worksheets and journals, etc. I have great hopes for how Tammy and Better Help will make a difference in my life!
For someone like me who hated therapy, hated the small room. This changed everything for me! Tammy made it easy to talk too. Allowing me to find the root of my problems together. This is the best way to have therapy.
Tammy has been very helpful to me during a difficult time in my life. She has been kind, supportive, and knowledgeable. She also did something unexpected at our last meeting. I told her I was worried about next semester in school because I'm grieving the loss of a relationship and feeling down/distracted. I told her what my classes are, and to be honest, they are going to be difficult. She suggested I "reframe" my thinking. Maybe that challenge will be a benefit to me. My mind will be so engaged in the studies I will have less time to dwell on my pain. This isn't to say that I won't be still experiencing grief she pointed out, but school can be a source of comfort, like a refuge from the pain. It was so helpful. I'm not as scared about school now.
Tammy is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and caring. I am very grateful for her support!
I have tried other counselors and this is one of the first times I have felt really heard. I was skeptical to try BH and I was pleasantly surprised with the experience.
I was skeptical about doing counseling online but it has been wonderful! I was matched with Tammy who has so much in common with me. I have only had a couple sessions but can tell she will help me tremendously. She sends me worksheets and techniques to use to help me. I look forward to my sessions with her!
Tammy is great at hearing and responding to your issues. She offers great tools each week to practice or overcome current issues.
