About me

Hi There ! My name is Tanya Edwards. I am a LCSW with over 10 years of clinical experiences. My practice focus areas include issues associated with depression, grief, self image, career challenges, parental caregiving and entering new life stages.

I typically employ Cognitive Behavioral, therapy, Rational Emotive therapy, Narrative therapy ,and Acceptance and Commitment therapy. Other forms of helping are also used as needed. There are multiple ways to arrive at your desired outcomes.

I am a strengths oriented practitioner. I believe in the power of collaborative partnerships. My approach to helping reflects this mindset. I walk with, not ahead. I endorse a holistic approach to overall well being and I pride myself on being culturally competent.

Being my first time doing therapy I had my doubts and ideas about how I could have possibly go and as time went by and I had now multiple sessions with Tanya, I am not fixed, but I am in place where I could start to see and communicate a lot of things a bit more full and clearly. For that, I am super thankful. Loading on my toolbox to better continue to care for myself and those that interact with me.
