Tasha Frederick, LISW-CP
About me
I’ve been doing this work since 1995, and after nearly three decades of supporting people through life’s ups and downs, I have come to understand that healing happens best in a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
As a licensed therapist in South Carolina, I help people move through stress, anxiety, trauma, and big life transitions with honesty, compassion, and a steady presence. I’m especially passionate about helping people make sense of their relationships, communication patterns, and sense of self, because those are the places where real change often begins.
My style is warm, real, and culturally responsive, preferring to be called Tasha instead of Dr. Tasha, Dr. Frederick, or anything else with a "title." I care deeply about creating a space where you feel comfortable talking about the things that matter, whether that’s navigating work or family dynamics, exploring identity, or finding your footing during a major life shift. I’m here to help you build resilience, clarity, and confidence in a way that feels meaningful and doable. I've always believed that doing that kind of work requires humanity, not position-and my titles reflect the work I've done to gain the skills to help you, not the person I am.
Reaching out for support is a big step, and I don’t take that lightly. If you’re looking for a therapist who brings experience, heart, knowledge, and a genuine commitment to your growth, I’d be honored to care for you in this season of growth and healing.

Tasha has kept me grounded during a very difficult point in my life. She never judges me. She truly cares about my well-being and although I’m all over the place emotionally, she listens and helps me to question my beliefs and look at things from different perspectives. I’m not sure I could have done this without her. Our journey isn’t over and I believe that her continued guidance and support will get me back on my own two feet again soon.

After three attempts at beginning my counseling journey, Tasha has been an answered prayer. She did a great job building rapport from the first session, is easy to talk to, and provides the perfect balance of encouragement and support versus accountability and challenge. I also appreciate that Tasha does not hesitate to provide additional resources for support beyond our sessions. I’m glad I made the decision to try again as I now have a therapist who is truly a gift and making a difference in my life.
