About me
Life can throw a great deal of issues our way, and it is often not easy to know what to do. An unbiased, empathetic outsider can be all someone needs to start the process of working through the issues they are facing.
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Louisiana. I have worked in this field for over seven years with individuals, families, and couples in many different settings. A great deal of my experience involves working with parent-child relationships, self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and abuse/neglect.
I have had the privilege of working with individuals with varying backgrounds, which led to me employing a variety of therapeutic approaches. The main approaches that I use are Solution-focused therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have seen very often how our thoughts dictate our attitude, mood, and behavior, so it is my goal through collaboratively setting realistic goals to help you change your thought life. This can then change your situation.
A great deal of my focus is also in helping you to see the inherent strengths that you have as an individual that you can employ to change your situation. We are all capable of changing our situation sometimes it is just a matter of changing our focus.
Thank you so much for taking the time and reading about me and my counseling practice! I know how scary it is to reach out for help, but you have already started the process. My hope is that you find what you need to start the process of moving forward. I look forward to the opportunity of working with you!

I have made three attempts between in person and online to try counseling, but couldn’t find the right fit until I started with Taylor. She’s patient, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I feel comfortable and safe working through things with her.
