About Me

"Not all those who wander are lost." - J.R.R. Tolkien

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in the helping profession for over 20 years. I have a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and Masters Degree in Counseling both from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of concerns including substance use, anger management, coping, anxiety, depression,, grief and loss, trauma, parenting issues ,and career challenges.

Life is not an linear experience and your path is your own. As a therapist, I feel that my job is to be your GPS. You know where you want to go, I will just assist you in finding the easiest route. I took a non-traditional route to get to this point and through my experiences in my various positions, I have learned one true fact, YOU are the expert on YOU!

I consider myself to be laid-back and easygoing , while also being upfront and honest. Our sessions are a judgement free zone where you can be as honest and direct as you need to be. That is the way I approach my sessions and life in general. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, strength based and psycho-dynamic and I believe in building honest relationships and finding joy in the small victories.

It takes a tremendous amount of courage to decide to make a change and I would love to assist you in developing a plan of action that works for you.

I look forward to working with you!
