About Me

Hello! I am a California Licensed Therapist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker- LCSW). I am a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH), as well as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I graduated in 2000 From Loma Linda University with an MSW-Clinical Concentration and have been practicing as a Licensed professional since April of 2004. I have experience working with individuals, families, parenting and relationship issues, trauma and abuse related issues, anxiety and depression, substance abuse and adoption issues. At this time I have concentrated on working with adults, and am not accepting Couples or Adolescents for referrals.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, meaning that we will work on your issues together. I have been training in and utilize evidence based practices from a wide variety of disciplines, specifically focusing on Solution-Focused Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (with Mindfulness integration), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. My focus will be on assisting you to identify and prioritize areas to work on that are important in the current here and now situation you may find yourself. I encourage the use of mindfulness and have my own meditation practice informed by trainings attended by Thich Nhat Hanh, Ram Dass, Jack Kornfield and a variety of meditation and mindfulness teachers. I am able to be flexible to the needs of my clients and provide them with the best possible assistance according to the needs they present with.
I welcome all backgrounds of clients, irrespective of race, color, sexual orientation, age, gender identification or any other category. I have experience working with diverse groups and appreciate differences and similarities between people. I provide individual sessions that are usually 50 minutes in length, and routinely provide worksheets, information, links of interest and so forth to work on in between sessions. I am available in between sessions for brief discussion on the platform by posting a message that I can respond to, usually within the same day and no later than the following day.

Theldon is a great therapist! He was very helpful and a fantastic listener. After every session he summarized what I should work on next, and provided me with several resources that could be helpful to me including audiobooks, articles and novels.

I've found my sessions with Theldon to be very useful. I didn't know what to expect from therapy in general and have a lot to learn about differences in techniques between psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSWs, etc, but so far I think the sessions have helped direct me toward a way of thinking about issues that are positive and productive. I also feel like he is open and flexible about an individual's situation and has a combination of adapting to that as well as incorporating his own way of communicating.
