Therasa Yehling, LCSW, CDVP, CCTP
Therasa Yehling is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over 22 years of dedicated service in the fields of domestic violence, trauma, and social work. My career has been defined by a deep commitment to healing, justice, and systemic change. My work has not only provided pathways to accountability and rehabilitation but also contributed to broader conversations on violence prevention and trauma recovery.
My professional strengths span a wide range of competencies, including:
Trauma-informed competency, trauma specific techniques for healing trauma, PTSD, Complex Trauma, mood disorders, domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, child abuse, recovery from cults, victims of or witnesses of violent crime, ADHD, grief/loss, weightloss, chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, life transitions/challenges, self-esteem and co-dependency.

Outside of my professional life, I find joy in the company of my husband and son, who are my greatest sources of happiness. My laugh—loud, boisterous, and unapologetically joyful—is my signature trait and a reflection of my spirited nature. I am deeply devoted to my Buddhist practice, which guids me both personally and professionally. I am a lifelong learner, who delights in reading, exploring new ideas, and indulging in my love for Harry Potter and Friends—two worlds that bring me comfort, nostalgia, and plenty of laughter.
