About me

I'm so glad you are allowing me to be a part of the counseling process with you. Those letters behind my name mean that I have earned a master's degree in professional counseling from Liberty University and that I'm licensed to provide counseling services in the state of Mississippi. I am also certified to provide supervision to young counselors entering the counseling field. Lastly, I am certified to provide counseling services through electronic means. I have 11 years experience in the counseling field. I work in a community mental health setting (outpatient) where I've served individuals from the age of three up to retirement age.

My approach to therapy is eclectic, person-centered, and solution-focused. I believe you are the expert of your own life. I'm just here to help guide you in a direction that will lead you to the best quality of life possible. I pull from various approaches to tailor treatment specifically for you. Approaches include cognitive behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, family systems, etc. I value your role in working with me as a team, through connections to obtain the best quality of life possible.

I have experience in providing eye movement desensitization and reprocessing techniques (EMDR), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), stress reduction, family conflict management, as well as depression and anxiety symptom reduction! I am dedicated to making the therapeutic process a positive experience as we work together to help you meet your goals. I offer messaging, live chat and phone sessions.
