I am an individual and family therapist licensed in Maine with 15 years of experience of working with teenagers at a public high school, and as a therapist at a health center working with adults. I have worked primarily with clients around issues of depression, anxiety, history of trauma, and attachment issues. As well, I have experience working with clients dealing with ADD, ADHD, OCD, relationship and marriage issues.
My approach includes cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness therapy. Each client is unique, therefore every treatment plan is different and utilizes evidence-based strategies. My therapy style is centered around developing a warm, non-judgmental, and respectful relationship with clients, and to collaborate on figuring out what may be impeding their ability and desire to feel better about themselves and their lives, and to then develop a plan to address these issues in order to improve things in their lives.
The first step is the biggest step towards getting help for what you would like to work-on and change. I would welcome the opportunity to work with you to develop a plan and see how we could make that plan become a reality.

Very patient with me, and my last minute scheduling changes. I assumed he would have dropped me by now- but I think he understands with 2 kids as a single full time working mom, thibgs come up. Thank you, Thomas for understanding me and not getting upset when I can make it; physically as well as emotionally.
