About me

I began my career in mental health providing services in residential care environments. I have worked with children and youth, adults, and seniors both in residential and outpatient settings. I have worked with a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, grief and loss, and body image concerns. I also have experience working with substance disorders.

I enjoy a variety of activities in beautiful Central Oregon. I love to hike and camp with my dogs. In the summer I enjoy swimming and canoeing. I am an incurable rock hound and love finding treasures wherever I go. At home I enjoy a number of arts and crafts including sewing, knitting, spinning, paper crafts, beading, basket making, and many more. I believe having things in your life that bring you joy and not just important but are vital to a healthy happy life.

I am passionate about helping people find peace in their lives and enjoy watching people grow and achieve their personal goals. My purpose in our work together is to offer a listening ear, encourage you to clarify your needs and goals, and offer support for learning effective ways to manage stress, and improve resilience. I believe that the only expert on your life is you. I can offer skills and support, however, I will not tell you what you should or should not be doing in your life.

Currently I am studying somatic approaches to treating trauma. This addresses the physical symptoms and disturbances that are present following trauma. I particularly love working with individuals who have struggled with chronic or childhood trauma. If interested please let me know and we can discuss this more.

Tia listens and yet doesn’t waste time with idle chitchat. I appreciate that so much.
