About Me
Hello. My name is Tim and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker living in Minnesota. I am licensed to practice in Minnesota and North Dakota. I have over 8 years of experience providing therapy to individuals, families and groups, many of them from the military communities. My practice has typically been with adults struggling to re-engage their lives, families and faith. I work with clients who have a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationships, career challenges, trauma, and PTSD. Simple life changes can easily turn to fatigue and burnout.
My goal with each client is to build a strong, trusting relationship and work together to identify your goals. I use a combination of therapeutic methods and empower you to reach your own conclusions and make your own choices. I will give you all the tools and insight you need to be successful, handle challenges, and cope with life changes.
If you are ready to re-engage your life, your faith, your family, your hope, purpose and change, then let’s work together.
I look forward to working with you.

Of all the therapists Ive seen I have the best feeling about Tim. He's friendly and caring but also digs in to the hard stuff, and knows when to push me on an issue and when to lean back. I really feel good about our sessions.
This was my first meeting with Tim. So far, so good. I feel that we’re off to a good start. I feel like he listened to me and responded to what I was saying. Genuine feedback. I look forward to continuing to work with him.
When I first met Tim I didn't know what to think. but I knew he was the right counselor for me because he has the life skills that is taught to other people and not just saying something without making sense. some counselors don't have this or don't know how to teach the life skills where you can actually say it and see it. it's more about teaching someone on how to live their dream but also teaching the other person how to live theirs. but there is still more life goals to teach I'm still learning from him and I hope that he's able to help more people in the long run with his teaching methods. Very kind guy at heart.
Timothy Teig has been helpful since my very first appointment. I have been seeing a counselor in my town for over a year. I was looking for help with my anger. By the end of my first appointment Tim could tell I have PTSD. He has been extremely helpful helping me understand myself, and PTSD. He has been worth every penny. I am so thankful for Tim and Betterhelp
Tim has given me solid counseling on how to problem-solve issues that have been barriers to reaching my emotional /relationship goals. His practical, empathetic disposition during sessions and through journal feedback makes me realize that I made the right decision to seek counseling through Betterhelp.
Tim is a very kind and helpful person, and his suggestions have helped me with anxiety and depression issues. I am completely happy with how everything turned out.
Have just finished my first two video sessions with Tim and he’s awesome. Very personable and easy to talk to, was instantly comfortable, he’s great at listening and also offers really good insight, perspective, and tools. Asks very good thought provoking questions. He’s helped me a lot and would recommend him to anyone!
Helps give a good perspective and support.
I’ve only been working with Tim for a short time, but right off the bat he gave me some very useful tips on getting a handle on my issues. Our counseling sessions are a great balance of getting to the bottom of the topic we are focusing on and some light conversation to get to know more about each other to help find the best strategies for me.
