I am licensed in Oklahoma with more than 5 years of professional counseling experience and over 30 years experience in higher education. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, & career difficulties. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
The struggles we experience in relationships, with our self-confidence, dealing with school or work challenges, and coping with grief and loss can often seem overwhelming. I focus on helping individuals and families who are dealing with these and a variety of issues identify and build on their strengths, develop adaptive coping skills, and heal broken or damaged relationships. My ongoing research in issues related to motivation, hope, forgiveness, and personality, along with my experience teaching, counseling, and administering programs in higher education inform my work with individuals and families. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
