About me

My name is Tisha Thrall and I have been working in the mental health field providing counseling services for almost 15 years. I obtained my Master's of Science degree in Counseling Psychology in 2006 and I became a Licensed Profressional Counselor in 2009. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals ranging from age 5 to 95 who have been diagnosed or seeking treatment and support for thier mental health issues. I have worked in a variety of settings and provided individual outpatient counseling, group counseling, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization services, and crisis counseling to clients. I have a significant history of working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, adjustment/transitions in their life, relationship issues, family issues, substance abuse issues, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, and individuals who a long history of trauma throughout their lives. In addition, I have also worked over the past two years providing services to clients through telehealth and over the telephone.

Throughout my career, I have learned that one of my strongest qualities is working towards building a healthy rapport and trust with each client by providing a comfortable and safe environment for them to express their feelings and emotions. I believe that for individuals to be successful in therapy they need to obtain healthy support, validation, encouragement, both positive and negative feedback, and active listening skills. I typically uitlize techniques from the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model that focuses on how an individual's thinking patterns regarding their past and present issues significantly influences their feelings, emotions, thought process, and behaviors on a daily basis and learning healthy techniques they can utilize to work on overcoming these issues.
