Toi Tippin, LPC
About me
Hello, my name is Toi (pronounced Toy) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 8 years of experience working as a therapist with children and adults in various life stages. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families who are struggling with a wide range of problematic life experiences. Since becoming a licensed therapist, I have worked in private practice, in a public school setting, part-time as an adjunct professor at a local community college, and as needed in a bariatric medical office working with weight loss surgery clients. I also have extensive experience working with couples who are divorcing, in custody battles, and/or adoption by completing court ordered counseling, in home custody evaluations, and/or supervised visitations.
I believe in treating everyone with warmth and respect while passing no judgement. Life happens and sometimes we find ourselves in relationships or situations that are less than ideal. Leading a quality life is important for all of us and reaching out for help is a great step in the right direction. My approach includes solution focused brief therapy and reality therapy that focuses on problem solving and making better life choices to lead you toward achieving your goals. Together, we will work out a treatment plan to meet your specific needs.
Since you have made the first big step in having a happier and more fulfilling life, I am here to support you and offer you empathy, compassion, and encouragement along the way. I look forward in getting to know you and working with you. Seeing you succeed is satisfying and one of my biggest goals as a therapist!
